LPCA community meeting IMPORTANT VOTE

Join us for the November LPCA association meeting to vote on key community questions about the proposed bylaws revisions.

These decisions will guide the final draft for an approval vote in January.

Make your voice heard and help shape how our Association serves the neighborhood.

The following Proposed By-Law documents are available for community review:

Explainer, a one-page overview of “How we got here”;

Draft of the Bylaws, the proposed revisions to LPCA’s governing document

Conflict of Interest Policy Draft, proposed standards for identifying and addressing conflicts;

Voting and Perm Disability Accommodation, a proposed policy addressing voting procedures and accommodations for members with permanent disabilities;

Explainer on Internal Controls, an overview of safeguards that support accountability and responsible management of Association resources.

2006 Bylaws  The proposed bylaws represent a comprehensive rewrite intended to improve clarity, strengthen the Association’s governance, and incorporate current nonprofit best practices. Rather than starting from scratch, we used the 2006 bylaws as our foundation, carrying forward existing procedures where appropriate while revising, expanding, or removing provisions to better reflect the Association’s current needs. The goal has been to preserve the intent and established practices of the original bylaws while creating a clearer, more consistent, and more effective governing document for the future.  (reformatted version for easier read)
