Plan to get extra time on the grounds of Ft. McHenry on  June 21, July 19 and August 23! Stay until 8pm, two hours past the usual 6pm closing time! These family nights at Ft. McHenry are co-sponsored by the LPCA!  On June 21, there will be an optional and FREE presentation by the NPS staff that starts at 6:30pm:  “History at Sunset: The Lead Up to the Battle of Baltimore.”  Everyone is welcome, so please spread the word. Bring your picnic baskets! Please note:

• Bathrooms will be open, but the rest of the Visitor Center will be closed.
• Fort grounds will be open, however the Fort itself will be closed.
• Please carryout what you bring in.
• The Fort has several picnic tables, but feel free to bring in your own chairs, blankets, food and drinks.
• Sunset will be at 8:36pm.
• Parking will be available on site.
• There will be no charge.
