General meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm. Founded in 1972, the Locust Point Civic Association (LPCA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in the State of Maryland created to promote and protect the common interests of the residents of Locust Point. Those eligible to be members of the LPCA are defined as follows: All people 18 years or older residing in the area bounded by Lawrence Street on the west and the Patapsco River to the north, south and east.
The purpose of the Association is to promote and encourage cooperative spirit, neighborhood relations and participation in community affairs; actively inform, serve and represent residents’ interests in regard to civic and City events, laws, regulations and safety; foster neighborhood pride, safety, beautification and monitor development activity; and honor and preserve the historic nature and serve as a repository for local information.
